The Project
As one of the first steps in monitising the business, abillion created a SaaS product called abillion for Brands. A tiered subscription service allowing business to customise their brand page and offerings, engage directly with consumers and drive traffic and sales with in-app purchase links and product boosting. The Business Development team needed a tool to help promote the product and engage new brands.
The Solution
In order to keep production cost low we proposed a short product introduction video using animation with voice over. Working with the Content team to develop a script, we then sketched a simple storyboard to convey our ideas. Next we moved on to a more detailed storyboard, explaining how we planned to use simple animation, in the abillion colour palette and illustration style, with smooth transitions leading the viewer through the product features.
The video is used as a sales tool when pitching to new businesses and as a marketing tool on various owned channels. The Business Development team was very happy with the end product, having seen an increase in sales leads following the launch of the video. The video also received a Bronze Medal for the 2022 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for Innovation in Branded Entertainment Video with a Marketing Message.
My Role
I was responsible for concept development and creative direction. I worked with our in-house visual designer to create the storyboards and overall look and feel of the video while also managing the various internal stakeholders.
